Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 1st, 2025
Company: Triple Advantage Group, LLC (doing business as TAG RevOps, referred to as "we," "us," or "our").
Website: tagrevops.com (the "Site").
Introduction
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our Site or services. By using our Site (including submitting a contact form), you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. If we make significant changes to these practices, we will update this policy accordingly.
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide to Us: When you fill out a form on our Site (such as our "Get Started" or "Drop Us a Note" contact forms), we collect the personal information you choose to provide. This typically includes:
Name: Your first and last name.
Email Address: Your business email address (we encourage using a work email, as our communications will be business-related).
Message Details: Any additional details, project information, or inquiries you include in the text fields of the form.
We do not knowingly ask for sensitive personal information (such as Social Security Numbers, financial account details, or health information) in our contact forms. We ask that you only provide the information requested by the form fields. Any information you submit is voluntary and provided directly by you.
2. Information We Collect Automatically: When you visit our Site, certain data may be collected automatically through cookies or other tracking technologies. This Usage Data may include:
Technical Data: Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
Usage Data: Details about how you interact with our Site – for example, the pages or content you view, the date and time of your visit, and the amount of time spent on our Site.
Referring/Exit Information: The webpage that led you to our Site and the page you visit when you leave.
This information is collected to help us understand how visitors use our Site and to improve the user experience. For instance, we may use Google Analytics to gather such usage statistics; Google Analytics stores information including IP address and site interaction data in order to generate reports for us, but it does not identify you personally to us. We do not link this automatically-collected data to any name or email address you provide, and we use it only in aggregate or anonymized form for website analytics and improvements.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Our Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to function and to analyze usage. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help the Site remember your preferences and activity. We (or our third-party providers) use cookies for purposes such as:
Site Functionality: Remembering form inputs or preferences to enhance your experience.
Analytics: Recognizing repeat visitors and compiling statistics about Site traffic and interactions. For example, as noted, we use Google Analytics which sets cookies to collect usage data (like pages visited and time on site).
HubSpot Tracking: Our Site is integrated with HubSpot (our Customer Relationship Management platform). HubSpot may place cookies (e.g., a unique identifier) to help us track when you return to the Site or engage with our content, and to gather information about what pages you visit. This helps us understand your interests and improve our services.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your settings to decline cookies if you prefer. Note that disabling cookies may affect some features of our Site (for example, forms might not remember certain inputs). By continuing to use our Site without disabling cookies, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. (For more information on cookies used by our service providers, you may refer to Google’s privacy practices and HubSpot’s Privacy Policy.)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Respond to Inquiries: The primary use of the personal information you provide (name, email, and message) is to contact you and respond to your request. If you fill out our form seeking a RevOps consultation or asking a question, we will use your contact information to follow up with you about our services and address your needs. We will communicate with you via email (or phone, if provided) to discuss the business services you inquired about. We do not use your contact information to send personal or unrelated communications – only business-related follow-ups regarding our revenue operations services as requested.
To Provide and Improve Services: We may use information you provide to carry out the services or consultations you request. For example, if you engage us for a service after an initial inquiry, your information will help us perform that service and manage our relationship. Additionally, the usage data and feedback we collect help us understand client needs and improve our Site’s content, functionality, and our service offerings.
For Analytics and Site Functionality: As noted, we use automatically-collected data (via cookies and analytics tools) to monitor website performance, measure visitor engagement, and identify trends or technical issues. This helps us optimize our webpages, make our content more useful, and ensure the Site is user-friendly. For instance, analytics reports may tell us which pages are most visited or if any page is error-prone, so we can improve them.
To Protect Our Website and Legal Rights: We may use data (including IP addresses or activity logs) to maintain the security of the Site, prevent fraud, monitor for suspicious or malicious activity, and enforce our Site’s Terms of Use. This is both for your protection and ours. If necessary, information may be used to investigate or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or potential threats to the safety or legal rights of any person or entity.
To Comply with Legal Obligations: We will use or disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process (e.g., subpoenas or court orders). We may also use your information to fulfill reporting or record-keeping obligations as required by applicable laws or regulations.
We will only use your personal information for the purposes above (or compatible purposes). We do not use the data you provide for any unrelated marketing purposes (e.g., we won't add you to a general mailing list or newsletter without your consent). If in the future we intend to process your personal information for a new purpose not originally described, we will update this Privacy Policy and, if required, seek your consent.
How We Store and Protect Your Data
Data Storage Locations: Information that you submit through our Site is stored in a few places:
Email Inbox: When you fill out a form, a notification with your submitted details is sent to us via email. We retain those form submission emails in our inbox for record-keeping and to ensure we can follow up on your inquiry.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM): We use HubSpot as our CRM system to organize and manage client information. The personal details you provide (such as your name, email, and inquiry) are entered and stored in our secure HubSpot CRM database. HubSpot's system allows us to track our communications with you and efficiently manage our business relationship. HubSpot may also log certain technical data about your interactions with our Site (like pages visited or forms submitted) to give us a fuller picture of your engagement. All data in HubSpot is protected according to HubSpot’s security protocols. (See HubSpot’s privacy and security policies for more details.)
Website Platform (Squarespace): Our website is hosted on the Squarespace platform. In some cases, Squarespace may retain a copy of form submission data on our website account’s backend. Notably, Squarespace will save form submissions to our site’s contact database if the form includes a required email field. Since our contact forms do require an email address, your submission may be stored in our Squarespace account’s form submission log or Contacts list as a backup. We use this as a supplementary record to ensure we don't miss any inquiries. Access to our Squarespace account is restricted and secured via authentication.
Data Security Measures: We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the personal information we hold against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. For example, our site uses HTTPS encryption to secure data in transit, our computers and accounts are password-protected, and our service providers (Squarespace, HubSpot, etc.) employ industry-standard security protocols. We also limit internal access to personal data—only personnel who need to see your information to perform their duties (e.g., respond to your inquiry or provide services) will have access to it. Despite these precautions, please understand that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure or error-free. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data. You should also take care with how you handle and disclose your own personal information and avoid sending sensitive information via unencrypted email. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel your personal data has been compromised), please contact us immediately using the contact information below.
Data Retention: We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Specifically, we keep inquiry information at least until we have responded to your request and for a reasonable period thereafter in case further communication is needed. We may retain your information longer if you become a client, as part of our business records, or as required to comply with legal obligations and record-keeping requirements. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it. For example, if you contact us for information and do not become a client or engage our services, we may delete your inquiry data upon request or after a certain period, unless retention is required for legal reasons.
Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We value your privacy. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. The information you provide to us is used solely for our business’s purposes as described above. We only share personal information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers and Partners: We share information with a few trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our business. These include our website host and form processor (Squarespace), our CRM (HubSpot), email service providers, and analytics services (like Google Analytics). These third parties process data on our behalf only for the purposes of providing their services to us. For example, form submissions are transmitted through Squarespace and stored on Squarespace’s and HubSpot’s systems, and site usage data is processed by Google Analytics for analytics reports. We have agreements in place with these providers (where applicable) to ensure they protect your data and use it only as instructed by us. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests (such as a subpoena, court order, or government inquiry). We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect and defend our rights or property, protect the safety of our users or the public, or investigate fraud or security issues.
Business Transfers: In the unlikely event that our company undergoes a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, personal information we have collected may be among the assets transferred. We would ensure the successor entity is bound by privacy obligations similar to those in this policy and will notify you (for example, via a notice on our Site) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
With Your Consent: We will share your personal information with third parties outside of the above conditions only if you have given us explicit consent to do so. For instance, if you ask us to introduce you to a partner company or if you opt-in to receive communications from a partner, we would share contact information with your permission.
Aside from the scenarios above, your information stays with TAG RevOps and its core service providers. We do not engage in selling personal data, and we do not provide personal information to third-party advertisers. In the context of California privacy law, we do not "sell" your information and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction or where you reside, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We are committed to honoring applicable privacy rights, and we provide the following options and controls:
Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask that we correct or update any inaccuracies. For example, if you believe we have an incorrect email address or any outdated information about you, you can contact us to have it updated.
Deletion (Right to Erasure): You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you. For instance, if you previously contacted us but now want your information removed from our records, you may ask us to erase it. Do note that we may need to retain certain information for legal or business reasons (for example, for accounting or to comply with legal obligations), but we will inform you if such exceptions apply.
Opt-Out of Communications: Since we do not currently send any mass marketing emails or newsletters, you will not receive promotional emails from us unless you explicitly subscribe to one in the future. If you do receive an email from us as a result of filling out a form (e.g., a follow-up to your inquiry) and you prefer not to be contacted further, you have the right to let us know and we will refrain from further communication. Simply reply to the email and let us know you do not wish to be contacted, or use the contact information below to communicate your preference. We will honor such requests.
Cookies Choices: As described in the Cookies section, you have control over cookies through your browser settings. You can choose to disable or clear cookies. If we implement a cookie consent banner or tool on our Site, you can also use that to manage your preferences. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality, but it is your right to do so. There are also browser add-ons (like the Google Analytics Opt-Out add-on) that you can use to prevent data from being used by analytics tools.
California Privacy Rights: If you are a resident of California, you are protected by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). California law provides you with (a) the right to know what categories of personal information we collect about you and the purposes for which we use it, (b) the right to access the specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you, (c) the right to request deletion of your personal information (subject to certain exceptions), (d) the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and (e) the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We have outlined in this Policy the categories of information we collect and how we use them, and we reiterate that we do not sell your personal data. If you have any questions or requests regarding your data under California law, please contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
EU/EEA (GDPR) Rights: If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws (such as the GDPR), you have additional rights regarding your personal data. These include the right to object to or restrict certain processing of your data, the right to data portability (to receive a copy of your personal data in a usable electronic format), and the right not to be subject to automated decision-making. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a Data Protection Authority in your country. Importantly, you also have the right to withdraw consent at any time if we relied on your consent to process your data. (In our case, we generally process your data based on legitimate interest – e.g., responding to your request – rather than consent, but if we ever seek consent for something, you can revoke it.) We acknowledge these rights and will facilitate their exercise. If you are an European resident, you specifically have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected or deleted, as noted above. Should you wish to exercise any GDPR rights, please contact us. We further note that if you are in Europe and provide us your information, we will process it to fulfill the services or information you requested (which is our legitimate interest and the basis under GDPR). Your information will be transferred out of Europe to our systems in the United States (see International Data Transfers below), and by contacting us or using our Site, you acknowledge this transfer. We will take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers of personal data.
To exercise any of your rights or make a request regarding your personal data, please contact us at the contact information provided in the "Contact Us" section of this Policy. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (for example, requests for access or deletion) to ensure that we do not disclose or delete data to the wrong person. Verification might involve confirming your email address or other information we have on file. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by law (for example, for California residents, generally within 45 days). There is no fee for making a request, though if requests become excessive or unfounded, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse, as permitted by law (but we will explain our reasoning in such cases).
International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States and our website is intended primarily for clients and businesses in the United States. However, if you are accessing our Site or submitting information from outside the U.S., be aware that your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States (or other countries where our service providers maintain facilities, such as data centers). The data protection laws of these countries (including the U.S.) may differ from those in your home country.
By providing your information, you acknowledge that it will be transferred to the U.S. and handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We will take appropriate measures to protect your personal data during such transfers. For example, for personal data received from the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, we may rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the necessity of the transfer for performance of a contract (the contract being your request for our services). Our service providers, like HubSpot and Squarespace, also certify or implement safeguards for international data transfers (HubSpot, for instance, participates in frameworks and uses standard clauses to lawfully transfer EU data to the U.S.). If you have questions about international data transfer or require more information on the safeguards we use, please contact us.
Children’s Privacy
Our services and Site are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not submit any personal information through our Site. In the event we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action. (For minors in other jurisdictions, such as under age 16 in the European Union, we similarly do not intend to collect data without appropriate consent; our Site and services are business-oriented and not directed to minors.)
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we update the policy, we will change the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. If changes are significant, we may also provide a more prominent notice (such as a banner on our Site or an email notification, if appropriate). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting the personal information we collect. Your continued use of the Site after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
